Committed

So I mentioned that the word “committed” is my theme for this year. I committed to doing a 40 day juice fast in the fall and I am almost done with my 90 day commitment to working out to p90X. Today marks also my first month in my commitment to blog everyday for a year. I’ve discovered that setting goals and sticking to them is the way to see the results you want in your life. Change is not instant, and requires patience and endurance.

I wonder if commitment is just as hard to others as it has been for me, and I am not talking about commitment in terms of relationships. That, my friends, is a whole different ballgame. I am talking in terms of health, fitness, spiritual health and education. Discipline, I believe, leads to Godliness. This is my goal for 2012 and beyond. Be committed. Purse Godliness.

Today marks a new month and new chances to be one step closer to achieving my goals. What is next? Finish my 90 day workout goal and then begin three new commitments. While I cannot reveal them to you yet, I will let you know that they deal with: spiritual, physical, and nutritional health. I want to keep pushing forward and pursuing righteousness. I am fighting on!

But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
– 1 Timothy 6:11
